Crowdsourcing, Innovation and Anniversaries to Start 2014
With the [topcoder] acquisition completed last year, I’ve spent more an more time thinking about innovation in a broad sense. How does it impact labor markets in the high skilled technology world; how will 3D printing, AI, robotics, etc. impact software and the world; and, how do we create organizations and firms that can handle this accelerating rate of change?
I published a few pieces in the first quarter around some of these topics including:
- Crowdsourcing in 2014: With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility on Wired Insights (Spiderman reference included)
- Related to [topcoder], I thought Diginomica did a great job capturing my sentiments on it without just auto agreeing with them (though I would take that too !)
- How salesforce.com changed an industry, Appirio and me - sticking to our superhero theme, this is the origin story of Appirio and me - its also a tribute to salesforce.com and their role in that journey.
- The Inspiration and Sometimes Frightening Power of Innovation - article on Huffington Post that I wrote
Also, my expert profile on the appirio.com site has some interesting (imo) and embarrassing information on how I look at the world.
